In remote Tibetan villages that are difficult to mark on a map, village doctors may be the only available source of care. Crossing glaciers and grasslands, they provide a vital line of support for pastoral families.
Our action: We equip these dedicated doctors with 24 professional medical relief kits.

Seeing the Light Again: Restoring Sight on the Plateau

Cataracts have cast a shadow over the later years of many plateau elders. Some can no longer clearly remember the faces of their families as their world gradually becomes indistinct.
Our action: We support the establishment of sight-restoration centers in Chamdo and elsewhere in Tibet. From providing surgical equipment to training local doctors, we help fund free cataract surgery for elders who have lived with impaired vision.
